Data Management

, Our extensive experience with data management includes:

  • Multiple data migrations (including operating systems, server upgrades, disaster recovery solutions)
  • Data and gap analysis
  • Data cleanup
  • Data modeling
  • RDBMS database architecture and design (for example, SQL Server)
  • NIEM driven design and compliance
  • ETL process design
  • Data synchronization solutions

We can help analyze issues with your data and recommend solutions. Our services include:

  • Identifying data issues such as: data integrity and reliability, duplication, cleanup opportunities, data potentially eligible for purging, data fields potentially not needed in new system and eligible for elimination, obsolete programs potentially eligible for removal, and data synchronization, ensuring legacy and modern data can work together.
  • Discussing findings and recommending ways to address data issues.
  • Creating, testing, and executing scripts and utility programs designed to cleanse data as directed by client.

A few of our past data projects have included:

  • IEPDs (Information Exchange Packet Documentation). Effective data exchange between agencies is critical, and IEPDs include the schema and data dictionaries that support that exchange. Auctor has developed IEPDs to NIEM (National Information Exchange Model), which allow for “secure, scalable enterprise-level interoperability” among agencies.
  • Modernization of child support enforcement system data to better support future modifications and expansions, such as options for database hosting and the necessary data structure for future data consumers, plus data analysis and cleanup.
  • Development of a NIEM data model to house mission-critical application data for a modernized child support application. This included replacing an existing data warehouse, migrating legacy data flat files to SQL to support cleanup, and migrating legacy data to the new data model.

  • Data cleanup. We launched an effort to precede a major system migration, removing records that were aged, duplicated, wrong, or inconsistent. This cleanup involved interrogating data and validating fields and structure.
